1260 Days of the Gentiles

Revelation 11:1-2. Gentiles (non-Israelites) will trample the city of God for 42 months or 3.5 years. Days are also used elsewhere in the Bible (cf Daniel) to symbolize years.

Who are the two witnesses? They are not mentioned by name in the Bible.

Interesting that John, a Jew writing to Jews, mentions in the 1260 day period the actions of both the Jewish nation and the Gentile (non-Israelite) nations.

Where else in the Bible is the number 1260 used?

1260 Days – The Gentiles

11:1 Then I was given a stick like a measuring rod. I was told, “Stand up and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count those who worship there. 2 But don’t measure the courtyard outside the Temple. Leave that out, because it is given to the nations, and they will trample the Holy City for 42 months.
