Genesis 27:21-22 – בְּרֵאשִׁית כז, כא-כב

Jacob tricked his father Isaac into giving the blessing that was given to the first born. Just as Esau the first born of Isaac was tricked out of the blessing that was his. Jacob was tricked by Laban a few years later.
The Lord God changed Jacob’s name to Israel. 		יעקב רימה את יצחק בקבלתו את הברכה שהייתה חייבת להינתן לבכור. עשב בנו בכורו של יצחק רומה כאשר הברכה נלקחה ממנו. יעקב רומה על ידי לבן כמה שנים מאוחר יותר.
אלוהים החליף את שמו של יעקב לישראל.
