Background Information:
Herod replies to the Magi [The Wise Men]3 When King Herod heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Christ would be born. 5 They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for this is written through the prophet, 6 ‘You Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the princes of Judah: for out of you shall come forth a governor, who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’” - See Micah 5:2 7 Then Herod secretly called the wise men, and learned from them exactly what time the star appeared.
8 He sent them to Bethlehem, and said, “Go and search diligently for the young child. When you have found him, bring me word, so that I also may come and worship him.”

Herod replies to the Magi [The Wise Men]3 ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင် ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးသည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သူမြို့သားအပေါင်းတို့နှင့်တကွ စိတ်ပူပန် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သဖြင့်၊ 4 ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့်လူတို့တွင် ကျမ်းပြုဆရာရှိသမျှတို့ကို စုဝေးစေ၍ ခရစ်တော်ကို အဘယ် အရပ်မှာ ဘွားမြင်လိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု မေးမြန်းတော်မူ၏။ 5 ထိုဆရာတို့ကလည်း၊ ပရောဖက်တဦး ရေးထားသောအချက်ဟူမူကား၊ 6 အိုယုဒပြည်ဗက်လင်မြို့၊ အစိုးရသောယုဒမြို့တို့တွင်သင်သည် မြို့ငယ်မြို့ယုတ်မဟုတ်။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ငါ၏လူစုဣသရေလအမျိုးကို အုပ်စိုးရသောသခင်သည် သင်၏အထဲမှာပေါ်ထွန်းလတံ့ဟု ကျမ်းလာ ရှိပါ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့် ယုဒပြည်ဗက်လင်မြို့၌ ခရစ်တော်ကိုဘွားမြင်ရပါမည်ဟု မင်းကြီးအား ပြန်ကြားလျှောက် ထားကြ၏။ 7 ထိုအခါ ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကြီးသည်၊ မာဂုပညာရှိတို့ကိုမထင်မရှားခေါ်၍ ကြယ်ပေါ်ထွန်းသောအချိန် ကာလကို စေ့စေ့မေးမြန်းပြီးမှ၊
8 သင်တို့သွား၍ ထိုသူငယ်ကိုကြိုးစားရှာကြပါ။ တွေ့လျှင် ငါ့ထံသို့ပြန်လာ၍ ငါလည်း ထိုသူငယ်ကို ဖူးတွေ့ပူဇော်ရအောင် ကြားပြောကြပါဟု မှာထားတော်မူလျက်၊ ဗက်လျင်မြို့သို့ စေလွှတ်လေ၏။
