Genesis 22:9-10 – בְּרֵאשִׁית כב, ט-י

Abraham took his son Isaac who was now at least 13 years of age. Together they started the three day journey to Mount Moria.
God had asked Abraham to kill his only son as a test to see how he, Abraham trusted God.
Isaac Abraham’s son of promise. He was named Isaac, which in Hebrew means laughter (the laughter of Sarah), because he was miraculously born to a joyful Abraham and Sarah when they were too old to have children. 		אברהם לקח את בנו יצחק שהיה לפחות לבן שלוש עשרה. יחד הם התחילו את מסע בן שלושה ימים עד להר המוריה.
אלוהים ציוה על אברהם להרוג את בנו יחידו כדי לבדוק את מידת אמונתו באלוהים.
יצחק בן ההבטחה של אברהם. הוא נקרא בשם יצחק, שפירושו בעברית צחוק כי שרה בזקנתה צחקה כאשר שמעה את בשורת היוולדו של יצחק. יצחק נולד בדרך נס לשמחתם של אברהם ושרה כאשר הם היו זקנים מדי ללדת לילדים.
