Genesis 3:1-4 – בְּרֵאשִׁית ג, א-ד

Satan who once before tried to become like God. Satan thought to himself if I can trick to woman to eat the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden. I will win against my adversary the Creator of the universe.
This war between The Lord God and Satan continues to this day.
Satan in the Tanakh is portrayed as the father of lies. 		השטן ניסה להיות כמו האל. השטן חשב לעצמו אם הוא יכול לשכנע את האישה לאכול מפרי העץ אשר בגן העדן. אם כן אני אנצח את היריב שלי בורה העולם.
מלחמה זו בין האלוהים והשטן נמשכת עד עצם היום הזה.
השטן בתנ”ך מתואר כאבי השקרים.

וְהַנָּחָשׁ, הָיָה עָרוּם, מִכֹּל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה, אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים; וַיֹּאמֶר, אֶל-הָאִשָּׁה, אַף כִּי-אָמַר אֱלֹהִים, לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מִכֹּל עֵץ הַגָּן.
וַתֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁה, אֶל-הַנָּחָשׁ: מִפְּרִי עֵץ-הַגָּן, נֹאכֵל.
וּמִפְּרִי הָעֵץ, אֲשֶׁר בְּתוֹךְ-הַגָּן–אָמַר אֱלֹהִים לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מִמֶּנּוּ, וְלֹא תִגְּעוּ בּוֹ: פֶּן-תְּמֻתוּן.
וַיֹּאמֶר הַנָּחָשׁ, אֶל-הָאִשָּׁה: לֹא-מוֹת, תְּמֻתוּן.
