Genesis 29:23-26 – בְּרֵאשִׁית כט, כג-כו

Jacob was tricked by Laban into marring Leah when he love Leah’s younger sister Rachel very much.
Then worked seven more years so he could marry Rachel. Then he had two sisters vying for his attention.
Jacob had twelve named sons from the two sisters and their hand maidens Bilhah and Zilpah. 		יעקב רומה על ידי לבן כאשר הוא השיא לו את לאה בזמן שהוא אהב מאוד את רחל אחותה של לאה.
לאחר מכן עבד שבע שנים נוספות כדי שיוכל להתחתן עם רחל. היו עוד שתי אחיות שהתחרו על תשומת לבו.
ליעקב היו שנים עשרי בנים משתי האחיות לאה ורחל ושפחותיהן בילהה וזילפה.

And it came to pass in the evening, that Laban took Leah his daughter, and brought her to Jacob; and he went in unto her. And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me? And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

יעקב ולאה

וַיְהִי בָעֶרֶב–וַיִּקַּח אֶת-לֵאָה בִתּוֹ, וַיָּבֵא אֹתָהּ אֵלָיו; וַיָּבֹא, אֵלֶיהָ.

וַיִּתֵּן לָבָן לָהּ, אֶת-זִלְפָּה שִׁפְחָתוֹ–לְלֵאָה בִתּוֹ, שִׁפְחָה.

וַיְהִי בַבֹּקֶר, וְהִנֵּה-הִוא לֵאָה; וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל-לָבָן, מַה-זֹּאת עָשִׂיתָ לִּי–הֲלֹא בְרָחֵל עָבַדְתִּי עִמָּךְ, וְלָמָּה רִמִּיתָנִי.

וַיֹּאמֶר לָבָן, לֹא-יֵעָשֶׂה כֵן בִּמְקוֹמֵנוּ–לָתֵת הַצְּעִירָה, לִפְנֵי הַבְּכִירָה.
