Genesis 18:9-12 – בְּרֵאשִׁית יח, ט-יב

Sarah laughed that she would have the pleasure of giving her husband, Abraham, a child. This is why the child was named Isaac. Both were nearly a 100 years old.
The Lord God told Abraham that Sarah and he would have son in their old age.
The Lord God wanted to bless Abraham and Sarah by having a son that would turn out to glorify to the Lord God. 		שרה צחקה לשמע הידיעה שהיא תוליד בן לבעלה אברהם. בגלל זה שמו של הילד יצחק. שניהם היו בני מאה שנה.
אלוהים אמר לאברהם שיהיה לו ולשרה בן בגילם המופלג.
אלוהים רצה לברך את אברהם ושרה על ידי מתן בן שיפאר את שם אלוהים.

וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלָיו, אַיֵּה שָׂרָה אִשְׁתֶּךָ; וַיֹּאמֶר, הִנֵּה בָאֹהֶל.

וַיֹּאמֶר, שׁוֹב אָשׁוּב אֵלֶיךָ כָּעֵת חַיָּה, וְהִנֵּה-בֵן, לְשָׂרָה אִשְׁתֶּךָ; וְשָׂרָה שֹׁמַעַת פֶּתַח הָאֹהֶל, וְהוּא אַחֲרָיו.

וְאַבְרָהָם וְשָׂרָה זְקֵנִים, בָּאִים בַּיָּמִים; חָדַל לִהְיוֹת לְשָׂרָה, אֹרַח כַּנָּשִׁים.

וַתִּצְחַק שָׂרָה, בְּקִרְבָּהּ לֵאמֹר: אַחֲרֵי בְלֹתִי הָיְתָה-לִּי עֶדְנָה, וַאדֹנִי זָקֵן.
