Fifth church – Sardis.
穿白衣的义人, 他们的名字在生命册上, 启示录 3:5。
White robes of the righteous ones whose names are in the book of life, Revelation 3:5。
大多数是死的, 但还有几名是未曾污秽自己衣服的， 他们是配得过的, 凡得胜的, 神应许把他们的名字记在生命册上。
Mostly a dead church, although there was a remnant who had undefiled garments and were still worthy in God’s sight. God promises to put the names of those who overcame in the Book of Life.
撒狄是古代吕底亚帝国的首都。
Sardis was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Lydia.
吕底亚帝国其他的城市包括士每拿,推雅推喇和非拉铁非。
The Kingdom of Lydia’s other cites included Smyrna, Thyatira and Philadelphia.

3:1 你 要 写 信 给 撒 狄 教 会 的 使 者 ， 说 ， 那 有 神 的 七 灵 和 七 星 的 ， 说 ， 我 知 道 你 的 行 为 ， 按 名 你 是 活 的 ， 其 实 是 死 的 。
2 你 要 儆 醒 ， 坚 固 那 剩 下 将 要 衰 微 的 （ 衰 微 原 文 作 死 ） 。 因 我 见 你 的 行 为 ， 在 我 神 面 前 ， 没 有 一 样 是 完 全 的 。
3 所 以 要 回 想 你 是 怎 样 领 受 ， 怎 样 听 见 的 。 又 要 遵 守 ， 并 要 悔 改 。 若 不 儆 醒 ， 我 必 临 到 你 那 里 如 同 贼 一 样 。 我 几 时 临 到 ， 你 也 决 不 能 知 道 。
4 然 而 在 撒 狄 你 还 有 几 名 是 未 曾 污 秽 自 己 衣 服 的 。 他 们 要 穿 白 衣 与 我 同 行 。 因 为 他 们 是 配 得 过 的 。
5 凡 得 胜 的 ， 必 这 样 穿 白 衣 。 我 也 必 不 从 生 命 册 上 涂 抹 他 的 名 。 且 要 在 我 父 面 前 ， 和 我 父 众 使 者 面 前 认 他 的 名 。
6 圣 灵 向 众 教 会 所 说 的 话 ， 凡 有 耳 的 ， 就 应 当 听 。
