耶稣致信给七间教会的第二间教会是在现今土耳其的西岸。
Jesus sends a message to the second of Seven Churches on Western Coast of modern Turkey.
士每拿,现在的 Ismir, 是 在Aegean 海边, 是一个富足的城市。
Smyrna, now called Ismir, is on the shore of the Aegean Sea and it is a rich city.
约离东南面80公里是著名的以弗所城, 也在岸边。
About eighty kilometers, south-east is the famous City of Ephesus which is also near the coast.
撒旦的欺骗, [第一次记载在创世记 3:1], 和他对神真儿女的逼迫, 神都知道, 这间教会在患难和贫穷中的善行得到称赞。
The deceptions of Satan, the being first mentioned in Genesis 3:1, and his persecution of the true children of God, are acknowledged by God to this church, and it is commended for its works despite its difficulties with tribulation and poverty.
凡得胜的必得生命的冠冕。
To those who overcome is given the promise of a crown of life.

2:8 你 要 写 信 给 士 每 拿 教 会 的 使 者 说 ， 那 首 先 的 ， 末 后 的 ， 死 过 又 活 的 说 ，
9 我 知 道 你 的 患 难 ， 你 的 贫 穷 ， （ 你 却 是 富 足 的 ） 也 知 道 那 自 称 是 犹 太 人 所 说 的 毁 谤 话 ， 其 实 他 们 不 是 犹 太 人 ， 乃 是 撒 但 一 会 的 人 。
10 你 将 要 受 的 苦 你 不 用 怕 。 魔 鬼 要 把 你 们 中 间 几 个 人 下 在 监 里 ， 叫 你 们 被 试 炼 。 你 们 必 受 患 难 十 日 。 你 务 要 至 死 忠 心 ， 我 就 赐 给 你 那 生 命 的 冠 冕 。
11 圣 灵 向 众 教 会 所 说 的 话 ， 凡 有 耳 的 ， 就 应 当 听 。 得 胜 的 ， 必 不 受 第 二 次 死 的 害 。
