希律王为犹太人建圣殿 – Herod the Great rebuilt a temple for the Jews

希律王把所罗巴伯所建的圣殿拆掉，然后建了更雄伟的圣殿。
Pulled down the Temple that Zerabbabel had built and put up a grander one.

于公元前20年开始到公元25年建成。
He started in 20BC finished AD25.

希律在公元前20年开始建造这个圣殿, 他拆下之前由所罗巴伯在公元前516年所建的圣殿。
Herod started to build this temple in 20BC by tearing down the Temple that Zerubbabel had built in 516BC.

全部工程花了46年， 于公元25年完成。请看约翰福音 2:22。
It took 46 years to rebuild. It was finished about AD25 see John 2:22.

So it was basically a new building at the start of Jesus’ ministry and was in the process of being built when he was presented as a baby and as a twelve year old.
