Revelation 11:3-6. For 1260 days or 42 months the two witnesses prophesy in the city of their God.

Remember days are also used elsewhere in the Bible (cf Daniel) to symbolize years.

Who are the two witnesses? They are not mentioned by name in the Bible.

They also have authority to turn bodies of water into blood and to strike the earth with any plague, as often as they desire.
