Revelation 16:8. Our Sun is a star. When stars get to about half-life expectancy, they flare up and produce a lot of heat and then they cool down very fast as they start to die.
The Sun is near half life expectancy.
As in the past bowls of God’s anger, people who did not belong to God did not turn to Him.

16:8 The fourth angel poured his bowl on the sun, which then was allowed to burn people with fire, 9 and they were burned by the fierce heat. They cursed the name of God, who has the authority over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
