Start of Counting the Omer

There appears to be at least five different views when the counting of the Omer should start. We have chosen the Sunday which is the day after the weekly Sabbath that Passover celebrated in. The start of Counting the Omer happens on the day after the weekly Sabbath in which Passover has been celebrated. see Leviticus 23:9-14 then read Leviticus 23:15-22.
Jesus rose as our First Fruits, that was 3 days and 3 nights after His death. The days being full or part days is up for discussion. The Jewish day starts at sunset and finishes at the next day sunset. So the first day of the week started at sunset Saturday about six hours before our midnight start for the first day of the week. God had Jesus rise right at the appointed time He had set for this event to happen.

When does the counting of the Omer begin?
1. The Sunday after Passover (Jubilees, Essenes, Sadducees, Samaritans),
2. The Sunday of Passover (Karaites),
3. The day after Passover (Beta Israel),
4. The second day of Passover (Philo, Josephus, Pharisees, and Rabbis).
5. The simplest meaning of the verse, namely that the omer offering has no set time or date, only a range of possible dates depending on the realities of the harvest season. Deut 16:9-12.
